We had 7 hardy and resilient volunteers come out and work through driving rain, rainbows and sunshine on Saturday, cutting back rampant bramble and recovering young trees at Willow Glen, next to the busy B2145 in Sidlesham. One of the volunteers came all the way from Alton to chainsaw up a fallen tree for us to help us clear the banks.
We found a wonderful harvest mouse nest in the long grass by the pond and despite the strong winds butterflies put in an appearance. Thanks to everyone for not being put off by the weather and making a huge difference.
