Minutes of the 2020 AGM

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Manhood Wildlife and Heritage Group

7th October 2020 at 6.30pm

At Selsey Town Council

The Annual General Meeting of the Manhood Wildlife and Heritage group in 2020 was a shortened version of the usual AGM due to the Covid Pandemic.

Present:

Lesley Bromley, Trustee and incoming Chair

Alex Ainge, Trustee

Included 7 ordinary members.

Lesley Bromley chaired the meeting and opened by thanking everyone for coming and observing the Covid regulations including Mask wearing, social distancing and using hand sanitiser. The names and addresses of attendees were recorded for Test and Trace, if required.

Lesley gave the interim chairman’s report which included the period of the first Covid lockdown. As a result, all volunteer work has stopped as required by the Government. However, the work of FLOW has continued with Jane Reeve and Chris Drake working alone on some of the project sites.

Joe Savill has retired as both Chairman and Trustee. Lesley thanked him for all his work for the group over many years and pointed out that he was continuing to work on the Selsey Photo Archive project and is still part of the management team.

The annual accounts were available for inspection but were awaiting sign off by the accountant.

The Annual report has been produced by Jill Sutcliffe and copies are available at the meeting and online.

The Trustees were re-elected unanimously.

Lesley Bromley announced that the Eileen Savill Award would next be awarded in 2021.

There was no other business.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm.

Due to Covid it was decided that the Invited Speaker, Andrea Smith, Climate Change Officer for West Sussex, would give her talk on Zoom rather than in person and this event was scheduled for 28th of October at 7:00pm.
