Wildlife Surveying in Birdham

August 23 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

This is a new site which will be dug out this winter. Its fairly overgrown and has a lovely ancient hedgerow along the side of the ditch. Please bring ID books and field glasses if possible. We will be surveying butterfly’s, birds and the hedge row.

Location:

Birdham, Hundredsteddle Ln, off Bell Lane, Chichester PO20 7BL.

Directions – From Chichester, take the A286 towards the Shell garage in Birdham. At the roundabout turn left into Bell Lane. As you pass the Bell Caravan Park on your left you will see Hundredsteddle Lane. Please park in the lane to the side. Look out for the Hi-vis Jacket.

We have lots of green sites across the Manhood Peninsula that we regularly maintain and survey, to create long lasting habitats for wildlife and prevent flooding. Please do come and help out – any time given is appreciated!

For conservation work events, we will bring tools with us, plus refreshments, but if you would like to bring your own gloves or tools then please do.

We will always confirm our sessions in the week beforehand, with detailed directions on where to park and if any other equipment or specific footwear is required.

Ask our organisers about this event or let them know that you will attend via the contact form provided – this helps us with catering and planning, thank you!
