FLOW Project Conservation Work in Almodington

September 4, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

Haydons Pond

To do:

We will be cutting back overgrown willow and preparing the pond to be dug out and deepened.

Haydons pond, Batchmere Road, Almodington, PO20 7LE

Directions – Almodington, Chichester PO20 7LE

From Chichester A27 take the A286 south towards West Wittering, opposite Premier Motors turn left into Sidlesham Lane, toward Almodington. Continue on this road for about 2.5miles. As you drive into Almodington you will see my FLOW car parked on the grass verge righthand side. The is a driveway to Almodington Nurseries where the owner has kindly said we can park – I will put a hi viz jacket up here.

In the week running up to the work session, if you could let our organisers know that you are going to come along via the contact form provided, it would really help with catering and planning – thank you!

We have lots of green sites across the Manhood Peninsula that we regularly maintain and survey, to create long lasting habitats for wildlife and prevent flooding. Please do come and help out – any time given is appreciated!

For conservation work events, we will bring tools with us, plus refreshments, but if you would like to bring your own gloves or tools then please do.

We will always confirm our sessions in the week beforehand, with detailed directions on where to park and if any other equipment or specific footwear is required.
