FLOW Activity: Tree Planting at Haydons Pond, Earnley

FLOW (Fixing and Linking Our Wetlands) is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project to survey and improve the ditch network of the Manhood Peninsula, to prevent flooding and increase vital habitat for wildlife. FLOW works in the following parishes: Apuldram, Donnington, Earnley, East Wittering, Bracklesham, Hunston, North Mundham, Selsey, Sidlesham, West Wittering, West Itchenor and Birdham.
Volunteers will helping to plant trees at Haydons pond, with the FLOW team.
For conservation activities, we will provide tools and refreshments. Please bring your own cup and gloves to maintain hygiene – see our current volunteering guidelines regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) before attending an event.
Please note that outdoor activities are subject to change, due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. Subscribed volunteers who have RSVP’d to an event, via our emails, will be notified of relevant changes or cancellations, by the organiser[*].
Haydons pond, Batchmere Road, Almodington, PO20 7LE
Directions – From Chichester A27, take the A286 south towards West Wittering. Opposite Premier Motors turn left into Sidlesham Lane, toward Almodington. Continue on this road for about 2.5miles. As you drive into Almodington you will see the FLOW car parked on the grass verge (right-hand side). There is a driveway to Almodington Nurseries opposite the pond, where the owner has kindly said we can park – a hi viz jacket will be put here for visibility.
