FLOW Activity: Restoring the Relic Canal in North Mundham

March 7, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

The Project

FLOW (Fixing and Linking Our Wetlands) is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project to survey and improve the ditch network of the Manhood Peninsula, to prevent flooding and increase vital habitat for wildlife. FLOW works in the following parishes: Apuldram, Donnington, Earnley, East Wittering, Bracklesham, Hunston, North Mundham, Selsey, Sidlesham, West Wittering, West Itchenor and Birdham.

Volunteers will be planting trees and wildflowers, with the FLOW team.

For conservation activities, we will provide tools and refreshments, but if you would like to bring your own gloves or tools then please do.

There is parking at North Mundham Village Hall, School Lane, North Mundham PO20 1LA and the main road can be crossed at the pedestrian lights by the school. Please walk around to the footpath side of the canal and find us part-way along it, where there is a residents’ car park and the MWHG van. Toilets maybe available in nearby village hall.

Subscribed volunteers, who sign up to receive all volunteering news and upcoming events, can RSVP to events through our emails and will be notified of relevant updates or cancellations.
