FLOW Activity: Restoring a Pond in Sidlesham

February 6 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm

The Project

FLOW (Fixing and Linking Our Wetlands) is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project to survey and improve the ditch network of the Manhood Peninsula, to prevent flooding and increase vital habitat for wildlife. FLOW works in the following parishes: Apuldram, Donnington, Earnley, East Wittering, Bracklesham, Hunston, North Mundham, Selsey, Sidlesham, West Wittering, West Itchenor and Birdham.

Activity

Volunteers will be gently managing the vegetation around the pond to improve the biodiversity and maintain its suitability for water voles, with the FLOW team.

For conservation activities, we will provide tools and refreshments, but if you would like to bring your own gloves or tools then please do.

Location

The pond is at the entrance to Church Farm Lane, Sidlesham – just off the B2145.  We will meet in the car park at the Village Church Hall, Church Farm Lane, Sidlesham PO20 7RE
