FLOW Activity: Habitat Improvement Work in West Itchenor

The Project

FLOW (Fixing and Linking Our Wetlands) is a Heritage Lottery Funded Project to survey and improve the ditch network of the Manhood Peninsula, to prevent flooding and increase vital habitat for wildlife. FLOW works in the following parishes: Apuldram, Donnington, Earnley, East Wittering, Bracklesham, Hunston, North Mundham, Selsey, Sidlesham, West Wittering, West Itchenor and Birdham.

Activity

Volunteers will be clearing overgrown vegetation and improving the pond habitat for wildlife, with the FLOW team.

For conservation activities, we will provide tools and refreshments, but if you would like to bring your own gloves or tools then please do.

Location

West Itchenor Pond, Itchenor Road, West Itchenor PO20 7DA 

Parking available in the small layby by St. Nicholas’ church and also in the property next to the pond, up the gravel driveway. Sometimes, there will be toilet facilities available in the nearby village hall.
