Birdham Ponds Opening Celebration Event

April 18 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for a special opening celebration of the Birdham Ponds. The FLOW team have improved two ponds in Birdham, creating habitat and sanctuary for local wildlife including bats, butterflies and aquatic species, many of which were not recorded at this site previously.

We will be unveiling a brand-new gate at Triangle Pond with a ribbon cutting ceremony by special guest, Joe Savill, Chairman of the MWHG and long-term local advocate for wildlife conservation and heritage.

Please meet us at the St. James Centre (adjacent to St. James Church) for a fascinating talk on local ecology, biodiversity, and a behind-the-scenes look at the transformation of these ponds by Field Officer, Christopher Drake.

We will then walk down to visit the ponds, getting a guided-tour of the work that has been done and how the site is managed before the ribbon cutting.

Free refreshments will be provided. Donations welcome.
