Slow Worm Anguis fragilis – Grows up to 50cm long and give birth to live young. Eats slugs, and other small animals.
The Common Lizard Lacerta vivipara – is very agile and lives in a multitude of habitats.
Sand Lizard Lacerta agilis – Grows up to 18cm (tail = 9cm) and the young hatch from eggs.
Smooth Snake Caronella austriaca – Grows up to 60cm long and gives birth to live young.
Adder (Viper) Vipera berus is a shorter and stockier snake, with a distinctive central zig-zag pattern down the back.
Grass Snake Natrix natrix – Typically green to brown or grey but variable and a yellow and back stripe behind the head.
